No tracking cookies. One piece of browser storage. Here's the breakdown.
Most websites need a cookie banner because they use cookies that legally require consent. This site doesn't. We use exactly one piece of first-party browser storage — to remember your accessibility settings — and nothing else. This page documents that, because privacy laws say we should.
The short version
- We do not set any tracking cookies.
- We do not set any advertising cookies.
- We do not set any analytics cookies on this marketing site at this time.
- We use one piece of first-party
localStorage— keyedemaration.prefs.v1— to remember your accessibility settings (theme, font, text size, motion preference). - You can clear it any time by opening the accessibility panel and tapping "Reset to defaults," or by clearing site data in your browser.
What we store, and why
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
emaration.prefs.v1 |
First-party localStorage |
Remembers your accessibility settings: theme (cool, professional, mission, contrast), light/dark mode, font (Inter, Atkinson, OpenDyslexic, Lora), text size, motion preference. | Until you clear it or reset to defaults. |
That is the entire list. We did not omit anything.
Third-party cookies
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and from CDN Fonts (fonts.cdnfonts.com). These providers do not set cookies on this site, but your browser does make a request to them, which means they see your IP address and user-agent string. Their privacy practices are documented at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you would prefer not to load remote fonts, the site falls back to your system font stack — the experience is the same, just less typographically polished.
What might change
If we add analytics in the future, we will use a cookieless analytics provider (such as Plausible or Fathom). If that ever changes — for example if we add behavioral analytics or advertising tracking — we will update this page and add a cookie consent banner before the change takes effect.
We will never silently add tracking to this site without updating this page first.
Controlling browser storage
You can clear, block, or limit browser storage in two ways:
- From this site: open the accessibility panel (button in the lower-right corner) and tap "Reset to defaults." That clears
emaration.prefs.v1. - From your browser: every modern browser has a "Clear site data" option in its settings. Use that, and the slate is clean.
